Code:
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
If you have dependencies problems, first do
Code:
sudo apt-get install xubuntu-restricted-extras

Wny can't you just do sudo apt-get install java-common from the ubuntu repository? I'm surprised it isn't in the base distribution.

I was pressing space and enter but nothing was happening so I just exited and tried again and now I'm getting this message...
"E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg -- configure -a' to correct the problem."

Now It says I have unmet dependencies and I typed in "sudo apt-get install xubuntu-restricted-extras" and it said the same thing again. Unment dependencies.

Not needed :-) Not sure if that extra work had to do with it but apparently I just had to click the top right for updates and there it was and now it's working. Thanks for everything though :-) sorry if that extra work wasn't needed.
