How to install intel modem drivers in Redhat

Hi, I have just started using linux RedHat, However my computer does not detect the modem, even though it has detected the graphics card.
I have downloaded the latest linux redhat drivers from the intel website, but I do not know how to install them. I know how to do them in windows XP.

But please tell me step by step how to do in linux as I have not even got a clue.

I will be greatful for your help

If it's a "winmodem" (not a hardware modem), try looking up the instructions for the chipset at linmodem(s?).org. Else post the page where you got the drivers from.
