how to install apt in embedded linux?

Hi there,

I'd like to install Advanced Packaging Tool(apt) in non-Debian nor Fedora.
So apt packages to install may be sources or binaries format.
I've searched this but found only rpm format.
I cannot use rpm or dpkg something like that.
Please help me if you know.

I dont understand much but on teh website of fedora for instance, you can change the sources, and then install teh apt-get packages.
but beware the repos are not that big compared to Debian :star:

in order to install and use apt you have to first install dpkg.
apt is just a dpkg frontend.
you can install and configure both from scratch but it aint easy.
start with dpkg

Thanks studioj and frenchn00b,

I'm trying to compile the dpkg sources downloading from debian homepage.
I think it will be easier to install apt, once installing the dpkg.
Thanks anyway.
