How to install applications from cd-s on FC5?

I just installed Fedora Core 5 and at the installation I selected that options that installs only some needed application (I thought I will install everything after the install). I tried to select from the menu Applications -> Add/Remove software, I selected my desired applications but I noticed it tries to download them from the internet, and I have a very slow internet connection. Do you know how do I install them from cd-s? Thank you.

You stick CD1 or the DVD into the drive, and execute the autorun.sh script. The "add or remove packages" wizard opens. Click "next" and it scans to see what you have. Then you get a dialog very much like the install packages one neer the end of the installation process.

You can also install directly from the rpm files - hunt through and use rpm (man rpm).
