Whenever you ask a question help us help you. Tell us what distro, arch, and version you are running. It will also help if you tell us the version of the software you are trying to install.

According to your info area, it shows redhat. Assuming that's correct, and assuming you are running a new version of redhat, you should just be able to run "yum install mplayer". Doing "yum search mplayer" should tell you if it's available from the repositories that are configured on your computer already. If the install command doesn't work, we need to know the exact distro and version of Linux you are running one, and version of the software you are trying to install.
