Are you talking about IE favourites being imported for use by a Linux web browser, or what?

This might work:
1. Install the windows version of Firefox and import bookmarks
2. Run Linux
3. Access your windows partition from Linux
4. Copy the file Documents and Settings/"your_profile" /Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox /Profiles/lwivfwgt.default/bookmarks.html
to /home/"your_name" /.mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/lwivfwgt.default/bookmarks.html
5. Run Firefox

It may be even simpler than that once you use Windows' Firefox to import your IE favorites. You can just go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Export (in Windows), then in Linux go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Export.

Actually, it's easier than that. Seems to me that my wndoze partition named the file bookmarks.htm, and Mozilla named it bookmarks.html. I just copied the bookmarks.htm to Linux, deleted the Mozilla bookmarks.html, renamed the bookmarks.htm to .html, and I was in business. Should work just as well for Firefox.
