How to get the current virtual "desktop number" on KDE through dcop?

Hi all

I was just messing with some dcop commands on KDE to change the background of a particular virtual Desktop. But some dcop commands ask for "desktop number" argument.
For example
"dcop kdesktop KBackgroundIface currentWallpaper" command.

Since I was trying to write some scripts containing dcop, I was wondering if I could somehow get the "current desktop number"(the desktop which holds the shell window) through some command which is specific to KDE. I believe that window properties should contain this information, but can't seem to find it.

PS: Apologies for creating a duplicate thread, but I guess Software forum is a better place to ask this question.

Regards
Amitoj

ps -ef | grep vnc

you can manually find the desktop number if you do a
ps -ef | grep vnc

command, I believe it's Xvnc for the correct syntax but the output that is filtered after grep makes
it fairly easy to see the desktop number for a given username.
