How to get rid of bootloader

I had Mandrake 9.1 and booted with the Install iso to delete the partions I had it on. I'm going to make a seperate box for Linux instead of doing the dual boot thing. I still have the bootloader installed though...how do I get rid of that.

If you're using Windows XP, you can boot into the system recovery console and run "fixmbr".

Assuming that you are dual booting with Windows, another option is to boot into the C:\ prompt, then execute: fdisk /mbr

This is an undocumented command that will restore your MBR to a Windows-friendly state. -- J.W.
