How to get PSCP to work?

I use pscp (which comes with Putty) to transfer data to and from Win 7 to BBB.
The old distribution of Debian for the BBB booted as root and pscp worked fine.

The new (March 2017) release boots as 'debian', pwd 'temppwd' pscp has a flag -pw so you can set a password but I get asked for it when pscp runs and then ' access denied'.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
Thanks
Peter

Can you ssh to the node? Please try: the result will tell us a few things.

Have you set up keys for password-free authentication to the node?

Are you getting any log entries on either side?

Have you tried with diagnostic/verbose turned on?

1. ssh to the host using PuTTY and accept the host key.
2. WinSCP will then work.
