How to get lineak to start with X

I use fedora core 1 and I am trying to get lineak to work with my logitech keyboard. I use a text login, I only start X for dvd's and games. I have gotten lineak to work properly but I cannot get lineak to start with X. I can only start it a term after X has started. I've tried putting it into the startup programs in sessions (as /usr/bin/lineakd) and in several startup scripts including startx. Is there another possible approach I could try?

Thanks in advance for any help!

maybe try putting it in the .xinitrc file, in your /home/USER folder...
if it don't exist, then make it ...

Still no luck

Thanks DrOzz, sorry it took me so long to get back. I tried the .xinitrc files in both my home folder and the global file. No luck. Any other suggestions?
