How to get KDE to only show installed programs

I am using KDE in slack 9.1 and it shows programs that I didn't install, and therefor they don't work, how do I get it so that only programs I installed show up?

I'd say, use the KDE menu editor to remove the extra programs. You should be able to find it somewhere in your main menu (try the "System Tools" section, or of course the KDE Control Center, but iirc, the menu editor is separate from the Control Center).

Hope this helps.

right click the K Menu and choose Menu Editor. you can easily remove any entry you want from there
