When you boot in text mode try entering
Code:
 startx
if that does not work then.. you need to install the GUI as you might not have done so.. i recomened gnome, at which you need to put in your cdrom and do something of the sort
login as root

Code:
#mount /dev/cdrom
#cd /media/cdrom/Fedora/RPMS
#yum install xorg (etc etc)
or optionally you can use
#rpm -ivh xorg- etc...
you will see the GUI rpm in the folder as well as other related files to the xorg if you hit the TAB key you will be able to see the xorg files dats can be listed which can be installed

I have installed gnome and kde as well.
the problem is with the video card it is not identifying.

so i have modified xorg.conf display to vga from vesa and tries to start using startx.
then a screen with dots came and its not looking nice and its resolution is also not nice.

in that only i have opened dispaly settings.

My mother board is intel 945 gntl. but there it is not listed in that . so i have selected intel 915. and even then it doesn't work and even the dots screen is also not coming now.

what to do?

please explain the solution in detail...
