Bitcomet for Linux.

Hi there. Unfortunately, there is no BitComet for Linux, and there are currently NO plans to build a BitComet for Linux. The two programs you can use without alot of special software needed would be Bittorrent or BitTornado. I use Bittorrent on this Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn system, and it works really well.

You could try ktorrent (looks a lot like bitcomet / utorrent)
If tried utorrent through wine, that works,
And of course, my favorite:- rtorrent. rTorrent Homepage

Azureus is another choice

Azureus is also another good choice that runs on both Windows and Linux.

Lightbulb 'Wined' BitComet working fine in Ubuntu !

Hello ,
Despite many messages pointing to the incompatibility of BitComet(BC) and Ubuntu , I've been using it for a month and it runs smooth
(versions BC=1.05 & Ubuntu=8.04) , better yet than in Windows .
With BC has been possible to get a connection where Azureus and others were apparently blocked by the ISP ( better check this again !).
To have BC running , download it from here, and launch the executable with wine. A minor inconvenience , is the flickering when refreshing its screen form, besides to be a 'wine' solution.
Please, give a try !
