how to force monitor into 120hz mode?

Hi all,

I am outputting to my Samsung LN52A650, which is a screen which supports 120hz. However, ubuntu only allows me to select 60hz. Is it possible to force 120hz?

Thanks!
George

go into your xorg.conf
change:

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Generic Monitor"
Option "DPMS"
HorizSync 28-149
