How to Fix USB shows no media in Disk Management Error?

While working on USB flash drive, “USB shows no media in Disk Management” error message occurs to me. What should I do? There are some important files on my USB. Can anybody help me? Or does anyone know how to restore my files?

Thank you in advance.

Please provide more information. What distro/version/desktop environment are you using?

What is the output of this command, issued as root in a terminal: fdisk -l.

Also, what precisely do you mean by "working on USB flash drive", where do you see the error message, and are there any relevant messages in the output of dmesg?

I searched for solutions online, and finally, I got a post which guided me to solve this problem.

You know what? I got back all my important files from the USB drive. How surprised!

If you have similar issues, or if you are also looking for a efficient way to recover lost files, maybe you can check this post. I hope it will also help you.
