How to find Versions
How to find Versions of: freetype, glibc, gcc, pango, esound, make, audiofile, gtk, msfonts, xorg etc:confused: .
I also want to know how to upgrade these things from older versions to available newer ones. |
For gcc, you can just do "gcc -v" in a terminal. However, your distribution's package manager should have a feature that allows you to see what's installed, along with the version numbers. Upgrading is usually easiest done through said package manager, too. What distro are you using?

Updates are different on most distributions. What distro do you run?
