How to extract rar files in fedora core 6

Hi everyone

i am unable to extract rar files in fedora core 6 using Archive manager...??
Do i need to add any extra package for it??

please tell me what package to be installed to extract rar files???

Hi.
The Archiver application (Ark in KDE) is not enough. You also need to install the packager libraries too. Try to search for rar, zip, 7z, lzop, arj, gzip, bzip, etc... packages with yum. Install these, so you will be able to handle a lot of archives.

I think it is called something like "unrar"

Yes, but if you search for "rar" in the package manager, unrar will be listed too.
