The simplest way would be to add the hostnames and IP addresses to /etc/hosts, unless you've got a boatload of hostnames to add (you were a little vague about this). Depending on which distro you're using [edit] reading through the comments in /etc/hosts can be very helpful.

And why do you have two different usernames?

You prolly are using some app to get stats of something. It usually has it's own resolver and resolving switches. Check the man page or post whatever app you're working with would help.

Please don't use multiple membership accounts.
