how to enable fast scrolling in fbterm?

Code:
fbterm -v
outputs this:
[screen] driver: radeondrmfb, mode: 1680x1050-32bpp, scrolling: redraw

fbterm man says scrolling: redraw means fast scrolling is not turned on, when i am in midnight commander in fbterm, screen refresh is HORRIBLY slow, how to speed things up?

Have you tried adding video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr:3 to your kernel boot parameters as suggested in man fbterm?

yes of course, but i dont use vesafb, i use radeondrmfb and adding a line such as "video=radeondrmfb:ywrap,mtrr:3" does not work,
does anybody actually use vesafb in 2017?
that manpage was probably written in 1998
