How to edit the grub grub config file on Fedora 17?

Hi,

I have Fedora 17 Xfce in one partition and Windows XP in the other. Problem is, Windows won't show up in GRUB. Can somebody tell me how to actually edit the grub.cfg (or whatever it's called in this situation) file in this particular version of Linux? (adding Windows as a choice manually has always worked for me) I've almost completely forgotten how to use the terminal through the summer - not like I really knew a lot...
I've had Beefy Miracle since the day it came out, and have been searching for the answer since then. No luck - there's all this grub and grub 2 confusion (pretty sure I have grub2, by the way). And I need my Windows now. Could somebody at least drop me a trusty link from where I could download Fedora 16, preferably also Xfce. I'd work it out from that point somehow. The only thing I like in Fedora 17 is the name, and frankly I miss the giant mouse on my desktop!

Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry for putting "grub" in the title twice!

Running the following command as root user in Fedora should work:

Quote:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
For more info, go to the fedoraproject wiki at the link below for an explanation:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/GRUB_2

Grub2 is the default bootloader for Fedora, according to the site above.
