How to do a low power server?

I currently have a linux box as my web server. I have it on all the time
and I'm sure it sucks up a bunch of power. It's a PIII celeron (300MHz)
I have no idea about what the MB supports as far as power managemnet.
I'm not even sure where to start.

What I'd like to do if have it in some lowest power state most of the time and have it wake up when it gets a web request. IS there some suspend to mem that I could do? At the very least I'd like to turn off the hard drives
after x amount of time.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

THanks,

Jim

This is probably best done in the CMOS setup...enter that and enable the "Wake on LAN" feature, also you should be able to tell if you have ACPI or APM...in the BIOS...If you still can't figure out what you have right down teh BIOS version number that is displayed at bootup and search the web for it.
