How to detect mp3 copy?

Hi All!
One guy have told me after listening my CD-s, that they are not original ones but has been ripped from the mp3-s. Is there any program for my Linux-box to check this?
Thanks a lot...

short answer no

Long answer maybe
You would need a 'trusted' source of the cd (EG a music store)
you would also need a diff program
then simply compare them.
Of course, this has several major problems. IE : if either disk was scratched, or even 1 bit was read wrong it would appear different.

Other than that, you could listen to the cds - when you encode to MP3 you loose quality, and you can't gain it again by puting it on a CD, so if there's a noticable difference in quality, then that might indicate it, however, not all people (eg, me) can notice this quality loss. And you can't be sure if the quality loss is due to the recording, the soundcard or the speakers....

Kovacs,
Thanks a lot, cdda2wav realy works fine, and the auCDtect has detected that CD as mp3-ripped ;(.
Thanks again!
