pl explain! |
my kernel was 2.4 and i upgrade it to 2.6, so my grub got 2 kernel now,
but i got problems no kernel 2.6 i want to remove it, so how do i do that? thank you |
what distro? how did you install the new kernel? please provide some useful information. general if it's rpm based, you can safely "rpm -e kernel-2.4.whatever", if it was a source install, just delete the kernel image directly.
it helps if you mention what distro you are using.
to upgrade kernel from 2.4 to 2.6 is not diffcult ba, im using Debain Woody.
Since you use Debian, you probably installed a .deb package. So simply open aptitude and purge the package of the right kernel.
