It seems that fdisk could not see more than the first 32 gb of space. What utility should I use to partition my disk properly and where I can find it ?

Check your BIOS - need LBA mode for big disks. "Auto" generally works as well.
Might be time for a BIOS upgrade if that doesn't fix it.

First, congrats on your 120 GB hard disk! (that's becoz I am from India.. and we still are using computers a lot older than yours) ..

There are many tools that allow partitioning... may be the LBA settings might be a reason.. but not necessarily.
Consider having a Linux OS and a windows OS on your hard disk...

For partitions... there are many freewares available on the internet. Chech www.download.com and categorize according to license. I am sure u will get a good tool.. Or check if you could get "HIREN's BOOT CD" on of the best tools on a CD. U will definitely have good partitioning tools in that CD.

Partition space could be allocated something like this (... not a rule!)
10 GB for LINUX
10 GB for WINDOWS (Primary and Active)
the rest of the dirve may be divided equally and under extended partitions having logical partitions with a file system supported by both the OS. (may be FAT32) ....

just a thought... think it over and make your own choices

I checked in my BIOS that the maximum LBA is ~33000 MB . So this is way I can't partition the disk properly. But I alredy have the latest BIOS: 1003.002 for my P3V133. So I can't do nothing ? I won't be able to use my full drive until I change my MB? That's SAD

I do believe that there is a way around that. I haven't had the problem due to my bios being fairly new, but check "man fdisk" and I believe there may be a solution. I cannot properly check this out now because I am at school and on a M$ box. If I remember though, when I get home, I will look into this and if I find anything, I'll return with the answer. I'm pretty sure there is a way around it though, so do not give up.

No solution? What if I format my disk with a newer MB and then place it back on this MB? It'll appear unformatted?
