Welcome to LQ. Please do not use us just as a means to promote products.

As you have observed, iPad supports H264 formats - eg. mpeg - but does not have a licence to use FLV.

GNU/Linuxes all have free of charge software to achieve this available in their repositories. There is no need to use this sort of proprietary trialware.

Aneesoft iPad Video Converter is only for Microsoft Windows @ US$25 ... Windows users will do better to transcode files with free-of-charge MPlayer - this, too, is not trialware.
