How to convert .rm files to mp3 without MPlayer?
Without using MPlayer, how can I convert real media audio files (.rm) to mp3? Using SUSE 10.0 on x84_64 arch Anyone have any ideas? :Pengy:

There are tons of rippers/converter out there. You probably already have one installed with Gnome or KDE at this time. You might want to look at freshmeat.net for a ripper that you prefer.

Thanks for the reply. I looked thru freshmeat but it looks like the only converter tools that mention real audio still have mplayer as a dependency (ie audiokonverter 5.4), So I either need to figure out why my MPlayer will not play real media or find a tool that can do the conversion without it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Better Late Than Never?
Had same problem. Need w32codec from atrpms if you are on Fedora FC5 anyway. Fixed.
