You do not
Kali is not for video editing
it is a VERY VERY VERY !!!! custom configured OS for
ONE PURPOSE ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PENETRATION TESTING !!!
also you did not bother to inform us as to WHAT software you want to use
there are many MANY different ways
if you want to convert videos
DO NOT !!!!! use a security penetrating testing OS
use something designed for multimedia
there are many "spins" of Debian just for working with Multimedia
just like there are "spins" of fedora and OpenSUSE and Slackware
all designed for multimedia use

I can't help but notice you are in root in the video..
This is a wildly bad idea - especially for a linux newbie - especially for the purposes of video conversion
Just use ffmpeg or avconv. The format is essentially:
Code:
ffmpeg -i file.ogv file.avi

the "SPECIAL" operating system that is Kali !
Has only the ROOT account !!!
there is NO normal user !
it is a SPECIAL purpose built OS after all.
with really only ONE USE !!!

Hello, many programs you can use, like Format Factory, Handbrake or Tenorshare Video Converter. All are great. I try all of them. They are easy to use. The last one can allows you to edit videos when converting

Just Google search "Convert OGV to MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, MP3, WAV, etc or Convert MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, FLV, etc to OGV", and you will find many solutions.
