How to convert flv to ipod format?

I've just downloaded a video file from youtube. Now, I want to convert it to a Ipod format? I am thinking of ffmpeg but I don't know the parameters. Hope someone out there can help.

You might try the scripts on this page. I haven't tried them myself, but the ffmpeg options themselves seem fairly clear to me.

It should work on any input format that ffmpeg can read. Make sure you have the faac/faad packages installed for aac support.
