How to convert DVD.iso to CD.iso?

Is there any way to convert a DVD iso image to CD iso image?

Or, is it only necessary to burn the DVD iso to CD?

well most DVDs contain between 2-4G were a CD can only hold 700-800M i would say it is not possible to burn the DVD img/iso to a CD for that simple reason.

if the ISO is big enough to fit on a CD just burn the ISO as a CD session not DVD, nothing to convert and ISO is an ISO, its the size that usually makes you decide on medium.

I have done it with slackware 10.1. There was
a script in (near the root) to convert the iso into 2 cds.
Definetely possible.

The reverse is as well, I have seen a few scripts around

You might be making about 14 CDs you know.
Check out the Deb download site. Another option is to download 14 CDs from there.
