How to configure to show an empty listing instead of denying access - Linux SFTP

Hi,

We have set up the account in linux FTP server with acl, to ensure that user should be able to upload the files but could not be able see the directory listing.

user:test:-wx

While connecting with filezilla client 3.9.0.3 we could not be able to see the remote server after login with below error.

Error: Unable to open .: permission denied
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

We are able to upload the file with other client i.e. winscp.

We are using sftp protocol.

While checking with filezilla we got update that it will not support above permissions It relies on directory listings.

Any idea how to configure to show an empty listing instead of denying access.

Thanks
Rajan

Please suggest.

Well, it clearly tells you that the permissions you've set won't work for what you want to do. This also tells you the answer to your question: set the permissions correctly, or use something other than filezilla.

If winscp works for you, then use it. If you MUST use filezilla, then you have to set things up accordingly.
