How to configure RPMs?

I need to set particular configuration options for suexec at compile time but I'm using RPMs. Is there a way that I can build suexec (or any other package for that matter) from the source RPM and pass it configuration options to use when compiling?

Thanks!

Devin

The only way I can think of to do that would be to edit the rpm .spec file before trying to build the binary rpm.

Once the .src.rpm is installed and ready to build, the .spec file should be in /usr/src/redhat/SPECS.

For in-depth details on editing a .spec file, check out Maximum RPM in RedHats documentation library (their website).

OK, I assume I should be using the --nobuild option for rpmbuild so that the package isnt automatically compiled and installed. The only problem is that when I go into the /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/package-name folder there is no configure. That is, ./configure does not work: no such file or directory. Other than that, all of the files seem to be there.

???
