Question How to configure resolv.conf

Hi
I just reinstalled RH 7.3 on my laptop and configured the modem.

However i forgot how the entries in /etc/resolv.conf look like.

Can anybody post a sample entry here ?

Also how should I find out the DNS IP adress ? I have earthlink dialup connection. I know there is a command to find that from windows but just forgot.

Thanks

Anand

Something like

Code:
search your.domain
nameserver <your DNS' IP>
should get you going.

For more info
Code:
man resolv.conf
As for getting the IP, try (once you're
on) to run
dig

Cheers,
Tink
