How to configure "NON-FDT kernel" ?

Dear Sir.

My board are installed u-boot 1.1.4.

This Bootloader is not support FDT. I guess.

So. My new kernel(ver 3.10) can't boot from u-boot 1.1.4.
(And can't upgrade u-boot)

Question.
How to configuration the "NON-FDT type" kernel?

Please advise to me. Thank you.

What precisely do you mean by "FDT." A websearch indicates the term may refer to several things computer.
