how to clear the cache in linux.
Good morning All
I have a linux mahcnie.when i login and open a terminal and run the below command it is showing me the used RAM space of abound 2GB. [username@hostanme ~]$ free -m total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 2009 1937 72 0 130 1246 -/+ buffers/cache: 560 1449 Swap: 4102 0 4102 Can anyone please help me on how to clear the RAM space and the Cached space used by my machine. You can not clear it. there is no problem. this is just the way linux efficiently uses memory for object caching to improve performance.
