How to change the iconsize in gnome menu?

I've just installed gnome, and I'm a total newbie!

So, I wonder if anyone knows how to change the menusize, it's huge, I can change the bar, but not the application, places or desktop menu size. The icons take really big place! :P

Please help me!

I run SuSE 10.

There are two bars - they are called "panels".
When you resize the panel - the icons in the panel should resize also.
That leaves the menues - these will get smaller with higher screen resolution of course. At 600x480 they will be pretty big.

The size is also governed by the font size ... you can alter this from the gnome menue > desktop > preferences > font

You can also try the desktop preference tools: applications > preferences > select the tool you want.
