Question How to "catch" dependences ?

Is there any program, which can "catch" all dependecys needed to compile software ? I know that when I used ./configure script it shows what is missed but sometimes library in my distro (Pclos 2007) have other names. Moreover I use checkinstall to make rpm packages, and very helpful would be a list all dependences which will need to install that rpm in the future.

Sorry for my bad English :/

You can use the -R option in the rpm command to find all the dependencies for the rpm package that you created with checkinstall. See:

man rpm
