How to call Hibernate from command line

Is it possible to put a PC into hibernate from the Command line?

Why? Because I can't find the option in KDE's shutdown dialogue, and I know that my PC can do hibernate.

This HOWTO might help.

or this hibernate script:

OK, thanks.

I'll try that when I get home.

EDIT: Hm... That first tutorial is for LILO, does it also work on GRUB?

It should, though I don't know what the correct syntax would be to add to grubs menu.lst.
