How to batch-convert pagesize Letter->A4 in OpenOffice.org 2.0 ?

I guess I'm not the only European (or non-US) OpenOffice 2.0 user who is tired of having to manually set the pagesize to A4 (from Letter) on each and every OpenOffice.org 2.0 template/document in share/templates/*/*.ott

My question is - is there a way to create a shell-script that takes all "standard" OpenOffice.org 2.0 templates, settings etc etc and converts them to A4 ?

Or is there a package somewhere with these settings? I've tried both compile from sources and various packages, but they all come with Letter-size only.

On the Windows version we use at work, it sets default pagesize based on the locale and/or printer settings, why doesn't the Linux version do this?

Thanks for any insight!

PS. I know I can manually change ownership, then modify template to A4, save it, chown/move it back to share/templates, but on 50-60 templates it'd take forever. I'm looking for an automated way... DS.
