how to avoid some mirror sites for fedora ?

I am getting more and more impatient with either FC9 or its mirror sites.

First whenever I do a yum stuff, I was brought to mirror sites
that are slow (I always get time out on the "stupid" server of
mirror.nus.edu.sg/fedora, some how I just have the feeling the server is too slow to act as a effective mirror). Is there a way to avoid
certain well-known slow mirror sites ??

Another thing, as shown below, I have do "yum install totem"
three times before I get it installed! Even then it may not still work when i try to use it. I shall see.

It is not just this, I have the same experience with other packages.
Some even show conflicts that I haven't got a clues.

Shouldn't Fedora weeds out the problematic mirrors to improve its overall yum's power ? Anyway, thanks for the help. I stayed away from FC9 for a while for now.

I think all mirrors will be under strain for these few days due to Fedora-10
