How to allow only one instance of mpv?

Hi.

How can I allow only 1 instance of mpv just like the way VLC allows?

Must the tweak be added to '.config/mpv/mpv.conf'?

I found something called mpv_wrapper.sh, but actually this will simply kill the running instance. If you wish you can implement something similar (or just does not allow to run it if was already running). But mpv itself does not take care about it at all.

It seems like more trouble than it's worth for such a basic feature. VLC will remain my primary media player. I use mpv the odd time.
