how to add fonts to kwrite editor


hi
i want to add some new language fonts for my editors specialy kwrite.
and i already have the fonts but how to add them.

Move them into ~/.fonts (a hidden directory). If that directory doesn't exist, you can just make it.

When you restart kwrite, they should show up in the list of available fonts. This should be the case for any application which uses fonts.

is this fonts folder in my home directory or in what?

Yes, that's what ~ means; it's shorthand for your home directory. You can use it thus:

mkdir ~/.fonts
This will create a directory in your home directory called .fonts. In this directory you can place the fonts and they will show up in whichever program you want to use which uses fonts. You may need to run fc-cache (from the command line) afterwards to update the font cache.

after i did that exactly when i choose some of my new fonts in the editor is a pear like strange letter.

Well, that's weird.

What font are you using? Where did you get it from?

thanks alot
i fixed it by changing Encoding autodetection
every thing is good now.
