How to activate CD drive and Ineternet in GNU mode from dual booting system?

I bought a new computer with SATA Hard disk, 512 MB RAM and an internal modem loaded with GNU and Windows (Dual booting). If the system is booted in GNU mode CD drive, Internet connections are not getting worked out. More over windows drives and files could not be accessed in GNU mode. How that can be activated

GNU mode? I assume you mean some Linux distribution?

It seems like the most likely cause is that the drivers for those devices simply aren't getting loaded or are not available. Which distribution and version is installed on the machine?
