i'm not sure i understand what you're trying to do... you should be able to access all the partitions from linux as long as the user has the correct permissions. permission masks can be set in /etc/fstab. you should be able to get to whatever o/s you want throught lilo.

1. don't understand this question...

2. are you asking two OS running at same time.. you would need something like vmWare.. or in Linux you can access Windows partitions you have setup.

3. you should be able to dual boot with debian and redhat.. no problem with that. i don't think you should put a debian kernel replacing a redhat... you can always recompile a kernel from ..

4. don't understand what you mean by joint your other partition ??

5. most likely.. don't know why you would want to do this.. couldn't you just load redhat or keep redhat 7.2.. but 7.0's default kernel is upgradable...

6. not sure what you mean by this.. like password protect your XP partition from within Linux.. ??

7. you can have dual boots.. but i don't understand the need for you to have redhat 7.2 and 7.0 on one machine, if that is what your inclining.. it would be possible.. but i see no point in having dual redhat systems...
