AFAIK that's not possible, you'll have to convert your mdb's in winodows into something that can be read by free database programs

ms access is simply bullshit :-) sorry, but it's the truth!

Unfortunatly some of us are required to use <lack of>Access for school purposes.
I wish someone would write a program to use it in open office. :(

As much as it's true, that's a dumb thing to say to someone who simply wants to convert his mdb's to use it in RedHat, it's not like he's asking how to use Access in GNU/Linux

I think StarOffice will let you do that. Check out the Sun site about StarOffice.

Perhaps Wine or Win4Lin would do the job.

Oh man...I wish I had the link I read a few months ago...
(some diligent googling should find it tho) it was about a little known way that you could use Open Office and SQL to access an existing Access database. You couldn't use the screens or VB modules of course, but you could write new SQL queries against the tables and existing data (perfect for converting to another Db in linux).

If I find it later I'll post it, but I'm sure if you google it'll be found eventually.

Ehhhm, AFAIK there is a JDBC driver available for access... You might be able to use that to access Access...
