how to access microsoft mdb in redhat linux 8
i installed redhat linux 8 in my server.i want to view my microsoft access data base in my linux machine
its possible any one help me for this error |
AFAIK that's not possible, you'll have to convert your mdb's in winodows into something that can be read by free database programs

Unfortunatly some of us are required to use <lack of>Access for school purposes. :mad:

Oh man...I wish I had the link I read a few months ago...
(some diligent googling should find it tho) it was about a little known way that you could use Open Office and SQL to access an existing Access database. You couldn't use the screens or VB modules of course, but you could write new SQL queries against the tables and existing data (perfect for converting to another Db in linux). If I find it later I'll post it, but I'm sure if you google it'll be found eventually. |
Ehhhm, AFAIK there is a JDBC driver available for access... You might be able to use that to access Access...
