how install xlibs headers?

Hi,
During instalation of kadu (internet comunicator) I was notified that shell script called configure couldn't find file X11/Xlib.h. I checked folder /include/X11/ to make myself sure if this header was really absent.
Folder was empty, so I ask: how can I install Xlib's headers? I found using google I should install xorg-devel, but I don't know where I can download the packege appriopriate to my distibution from. I typed into shell "apt-get install xlibs", but in result I received information I have got the newest one installed.

any development package you need will already be on your distro cd's, e.g. xorg-x11-devel-6.8.2.blah.bum.rpm just have a lok on there for them.

ups.. yes, you're right. I thought that append -dev indicates this package contains sources or sth like that, but except headers; I was wrong.
