How GRUB linux system after MKSWAPing


I realy made a big mistake.I lost my partition when MKSWAP without PARTED.I get grub> on starting my mechine.How can I boot linux using the command grub?My linux system reside at /dev/hda8.Please.Thanks a lot.

Which partition did you MKSWAP on ???. If /boot, could probably be recovered. If /boot is merely a directory on your root (/) partition, I'd say you are dead in the water.
