how do you force cdrecord to burn a non-iso9660 image?

Hi,

I was wondering how to use cdrecord to burn a non-iso9660 image to a DVD? When i try to burn it with k3b, it says "non iso9660 image", so it greys out the "Start" button unless the image is a vlid iso9660 image. From what I understand, k3b uses cdrecord... so I was wondering how i can force the burn on the command line?

Thanks!
George

Hi.
Code:
cdrecord --data /non/iso/image.img dev=/dev/hdX
There's more options, but that should burn the image at the fastest speed the drive and the media can do.

Try using -tao instead of -dao (DAO isn't listed as one of the modes the drive can use, which is a bit weird). I don't think that's the problem, though.

I think you'll need a patched version of cdrecord (like the version RedHat ships) which has the missing DVD code included.
