How do you create a DOS bootable USB stick?

I have a few 128 Mb USB sticks.
Need to create DOS bootable USB sticks.
These USB sticks will be used to boot a few computers and update their BIOS.
These computers used to have Windows on them, but now they run Linux only.
These BIOS updates are DOS executables, like UPDATE.EXE
Upon execution the updates need about 30 Mbs of disk space, then they proceed to update the BIOS.
With a DOS bootable USB stick ready, I just have to copy the UPDATE.EXE file to it.

How do you create a DOS bootable USB stick?

This page describes how to install freeDOS on a USB flash drive. By the way this page was the first result of a google search for "freedos usb".

I think freedos is the usual answer also but I think you can get grub4dos to work also for dos.
