how do u make xine close after watching a movie
hi
can i make xine close itself after watching a movie? thanks |
I' almost sure it's a bug
I have had the same problem every now and then.
Sometimes I try to close it and it won't close. My only solution has been to kill the process. I have not identified any pattern when this happens. Sometimes it closes OK, sometimes it does not. |
I think that doublefailure just wants xine to close after the movie is over, instead of going back to the dvd menu.
I also wish for this, but I am not sure if it is possible. This is why I use mplayer now, unless I want to see the dvd menu. See, if I want to put on a flick to fall asleep to, xine will just loop the dvd menu all night, whereas mplayer will close the movie and allow the screensaver to kick in... |
I was also looking for it. When i am watching something on bed, i would even want to shutdown the computer after the movie is over :)

ohhh, I get it! I was completely off track.
I never thought of it tht way. I would never have my computer in the bedroom. It has a VERY loud fan. I actually close the Den's door (across my bedroom) to sleep. (And the laptop does not have a DVD drive). Besides, I don't watch tv in bed because... I fall asleep!! I need to be a little bit uncomfortable to actually finish a movie. I prefer to listen to the radio when I'm in bed. |
