How do I use Wine to run Internet Explorer?

Hello, I'm having problems to run a browser MMO, as the Firefox keeps closing when I attempt to load it. I than tried installing Opera, downgrading the Firefox version, and everything possible. Now I've decided to try a Windows browser (the MMO - RuneScape - is designed for Windows, but may work on other operating systems), so I've installed Internet Explorer (newest version), and also Wine to run it. But I'm new at Linux and I don't know how to run a .exe program with it, so if anyone could help me, I'd be pleased =).

People always tell me to run them using codes on certain places, but they only get me even more lost, so please be specific when telling me how to execute them. Oh, I've only downloaded them and done nothing else.

Wine program: "wine-1.1.7.tar.bz2.sign"
Explorer program: "IE7-WindowsXP-x86-ptb.exe"

And sorry if it's on the wrong forum =/

Try creating a new Firefox profile. start it in a terminal with the command firefox--profilemanager

If you really have to run IE, I would suggest you Google for IE4Linux.

RS plays just fine here in Firefox/iceweasel.

At the current stage it seems not possible to run IE7 as-is for any useful purpose.

There you have instructions to install it though, you can as well use IE6 with the IE7 rendering engine. That's possible. I'd suggest using ies4linux just like the other poster said. It can automatize the whole process.
